Swimbo managed to scrape the front bumper of her white Toyota starlet on the garden wall leaving various gouges thereon. (grrrrrr)
Is the stuff from Halfords (paint, filler, clearcoat, wet&dry paper, primer etc) satisfactory, or are other products recommended.?
Any advice or tips very welcome.

How deep is deep, easiest way is to use a Paint Pen or small Bottle with brush (ie. Paint Chips), fill the scrape so it protrudes more than the bumber slightly, leave to harden, really hard, days weeks, then wet and dry gently till flat then polish.
Otherwise your looking at Filling with plastic filler, and the usual, rub flat with wet and dry, a bit of Primer, rub flat then spray, wash in, with a Rattle Can final coat, bearing in mind its plastic.
Do they use Lacquer on Non Matalic (White) these days?

How deep is deep
Good question, deep enough to expose the metal/plastic of the bumper so I am guessing that the plastic filler etc route is the way to go.
No idea about lacquer or non metallic, I have the paint code so will see how it comes out but I surely must have a clearcoat of some sort on top.
I live in fear as its swimbo's pride and joy, and by a strange quirk of the female mind, even though I was reading in the lounge when she hit the wall it was MY FAULT!!!!
Bless em!

Best way to confirm whether it is laquered is to give it a gentle rub with T-cut or similar, and if a bit of colour shows on the cloth then it's not lacquered. If no colour shows it is.
