Used this for ll parking the Mondeo for the first time, frightened me to death the speed at which it reversed into a slot I would have disregarded as too tight. Very impressive. :y

I assume you "have control" with your foot on the brake at all times?

If it's like the one on SWMBO's yeti (and I'm guessing it's the same system, more or less), you engage the system, take your hands off the wheel and then operate the accelerator and brake, oh and select D and R when it asks you too. Guessing a manual is similar, but with clutch control obviously.
SWMBO loves it, I find the reverse parking a bit slow compared to doing it myself (it's a small car after all) but the parallel parking is super impressive. :y

This and the front view camera you mentioned in an earlier thread are impressive for a humble Ford.
My car has neither. :(

We take the piss out of a colleagues Focus, as it can't park in any of the spaces at work, claiming they are too small ;D

To be honest I'm not sure, not having read that bit in the manual yet :-[, I'm pretty sure I hit the brake automatically due to the speed it shot in. It certainly had control of the accelerator.....I think :-\ Note to self: R.T.F.M. ::)
