Title: Chrome exhaust tips
Post by: Migv6 le Frog Fan on 25 May 2017, 14:01:13
Would like to fit a pair on the outlets on the back box. Any info on best place to source them. Used to get them from time to time at lidl or Aldi but haven't seen them there for years. Also, what diameter ? Save me measuring.  ::)
Tia.

I bought my two in 2013 from Aponline on Amazon for £12-50.

It seems they are no longer available from that company, but again on Amazon there is still the following ones that appear to be the same as mine:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/QUALITY-EXHAUST-SHINY-CHROME-40mm-70mm/dp/B00P80148Y

These are adjustable from an internal size of 40mm to 70mm which fits our Omega 3.3 tail pipes.

I have not seen any in my local one for some time now, and anyway they will always be better and cheaper from Amazon with a better selection. ;)

I miss the old fashioned leather steering wheels complete with spats, and alloy with circular holes.

Furry dice are a no go round here.Nowadays they have feathery type thing with sparkly bits on the hang from the mirror and reach to at the very least the top of the dashboard if not slightly below it :-X

.......and don't forget the name strips at the top of the windscreen.

Dave and Sharon seemed to be pretty popular back in the eighties. ;D

Hmmmmm  Albs on the drivers side and nothing on the other...cause his missus thinks the car looks daft with stripes and dice and baked bean cans on the exhaust.  ;D

She hated the Chevette HS with a passion because she thought it was chavvy, and also that it was only a matter of time before I killed myself or both of us in it.  ;D
She loved the Senator, but doesn't much like Omegas for some reason. As for the "chipfat wagon", she wont so much as sit in it, unless its a dire emergency.  :-\  ;D
In the 70,s a mate of mine had a Viva with a sunstrip which said "Viva la Viva". No-one understood that in Belfast in 1977.  ::) ;D

I do like Rubens red even if it is more common than the ultra rare star silver.

And yes, Lizzie does have 'a nice pair of pipes' :)

Looks identical to my car, apart from mine has black leather. I prefer the grey tbh. It goes better with the body colour.

The trouble I had to try and match a replacement, with blind, rear shelf though.........and I failed to do it ::) ;D ;D. If it had been black.......it would have been no problem ;)
