I'm trying not to. Pity they didn't have Anne Robinson as moderator instead of the useless woman they got. Shes worse than uselsss, although probably admirable fulfilling the agenda given to her by the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation.

I didn't watch it, but it was on the telly in the lounge. Judging by the cheers that I could hear, I assumed that it was a BBC invited audience. ::)

Independently selected by a polling organisation. Equal split across all parties plus an element of undecideds. 50/50 split between brexiteers and remoaners.
-
Didn't watch all of it. Caught just a few minutes while doing a BBQ.
I just don't think that a countrys future should be influenced by a TV show or by an individuals "performance". It's too important to be decided on presentation and debating skills. I want to know facts, not who can shout the loudest.

I think the reason Jeremy Corbyn attended was less because he had any clever cards up his sleeve, but more because he was promised a friendly audience. :P

Oh absolutely. I always think that voting in a general election is a case of deciding which party is the least bad.
I saw a quote recently "always vote for whoever promises the least, that way you will be less disappointed"

You're confusing the target demographical cross section with the actual audience... ::)
-
I managed the first 15 minutes, but could not stand any more. Biased audience or what !!!! No way were they split evenly. It was a Corbyn audience all the way through !!!! >:(

Independently selected by a Labour. Equal split across Labour. 50/50 split between Labour and Labour.
Fixed that for you :y

conspiracy theorists are out in force in this thread ;D. Confusing left and right with party alliances muddies the water.
Clearly when 5/7 candidates are left leaning, so will 5/7 of the audience be. Unless you want to pick 2.5 times as many UKIP & Tory supporters as you do for each of the other 5 parties.
What would be the alternative? Allocate the audience in line with MP numbers? Creates an inbuilt advantage to the party in power.
Googling ComRes bias shows a fairly equal number of accusations of left or right bias depending on the agenda of the accuser. ::)
-
I don't normally buy into the bias debate, but it was very clear the BBC audience was heavily in favour of Corbyn.
-
Do the debates without a studio audience. Let the presenter ask the questions, and all answer in turn. Boring maybe, but better than that crap on last night !!!!!! :y

If it's any consolation, your licence fee paid for thst ::)

The audience should have consisted of floating voters.
