Here, in sunny Swindon.
Weather station is saying 30.6C, Central heating controller is saying 30.5 :o , both sensors are in the shade....
-
Mine telling me it's fu kin warm.
-
I love the outside temp gauge in my astra, apparently it's 43°C ;D
-
Glad the climate works in the Ford.....
Day trip to the seaside in Dorset tomorrow and its suppose to be the same or even hotter :)
-
Driving home from chrisgixer (4pm ish), the car, once moving for a mile of so, was reading 33C. At home, outside temp currently 31C.
One of the OOF servers, ambient intake is 28.9C - keeping close eye on that, in case A/C needs to go on

Blimey :o
Many moons ago....when I worked in the PC industry....we insisted the clients server room sat at 18C or else warranty was invalid on the servers we supplied...tho I must admit the servers were tested in environmental chambers before shipping.....the temp being ramped between -10C and +30C continuously for 24hours.......

Mid 20's here in cornwall with a nice sea breeze

Modern servers (and that one is a ProLiant gen9) are built to be able to be run a lot warmer, as large datacentres use as much power in cooling as they do in powering the servers. But even so, that's uncomfortably hot.
Its now 30C. I'll give it one more degree, then the chiller is going on.

My outside thermometer is saying 34.9 degrees, but the sensor is directly in the sun. Car saying it's 31.5 degrees. :)
It's lovely whichever! :y
-
28 here according to Metar 8)
-
How warm is it where you are?
Absolutely no idea. Warm enough for shorts, T Shirt, and cold beer and BBQ :y
Not so hot that I can't be arsed to do anything. But also, the half metre plus stone walls of my abode are better than air con in hot weather.
-
Its starting to cool down a bit now but the Omega says its 29 degrees. Don't know how far out that is, but its too bloody warm for me. ::)
-
Indoors it's 24 degrees - that's with 2foot think stone walls ........
-

On upside, this server has no disks in.
Back in the Compaq days, when the environmental systems failed in the datacentre where I worked, you could guarantee that tomorrow, you'd be changing hundreds of failed disks ;D

Doesn't have to be large....20 years ago....we had a server room with fours ceiling chillers.....admit aircon for the building as well....monthly leccy bill was around £600....
One evening some wags decided to turn off the breakers for the air con units (they were on outside walls)....result was in the morning all the servers had crashed.....server room was like sauna....Fortunately upon power back to chillers and a hour or two of cooling servers came back on rebooting.....

Wifey was sitting in the garden with her iPad yesterday when it protested it was too hot and switched itself off. Probably saved what it was doing, too.
Why don't servers do that?
Message from OOF server: I'm going offline in a minute cause it's too fickin hot. I'll be back when it cools down a bit. Sorry if any sad bastards have to live in the real world for an hour or so. ;D

It will. However, to keep heat down, all the other physical compute servers are already powered down, so the VM has nowhere to move to...
...which means when it reaches its thermal threshold, OOF (and the other shite running on the physical server) will just go offline. Which leads to grumpy people ;D. Last time we had an unexpected extended outage was when the garage went, and people moaned at me ;D

Well....it was a rather long outage. People had to visit jag and merc and ford forums. It was quite traumatic. :o

Just been out to empty boot of car, as CBA earlier. Blimey, the metal stuff like axle stands and jack were uncomfortable to carry, must be bloomin' hot in there :o

Mrs was doing some school work out in the garden, but came in cause it was too hot. Of course, she left hers pens, etc., outside. When I went out the biros had leaked everywhere, the ink was as thin as water.
-
28c according to the Omega, Nice and chilly inside the car though :y
-
Right...we're obviously trying to outdo each other here.
So.......my goldfish boiled dry, I cooked a chicken on the flags outside and my next doors neighbours garage roof caug............... No, I'll leave that one. ;D

:o - I normally have the opposite trouble with biros, where all the ink congeals on the ball, then smudges all over the page ;D

The Swede reckoned it was 30-31c going down the M40 this arvo.
However I suspect it's a lying bar steward. BBC reckoned 27-28, which felt right. AC was pretty cool, but not as good as the omega after it's re-gas so I think it may be due a service.
-
Still 24 here according to Metar :D
-
There's a lot a sad bastards here who seem to spend all their time looking at temperature guages and thermometers ::)
Oh well better than telly or sex I suppose ???
.
-
30 that sounds nice and cool 😎
-
Very enjoyable day, my thermometer read a maximum of 35degC but it does over-read by about 5degC with summer sun, where it catches the early morning sun. Was down to a warm 25degC when I checked at 7pm.
-
30 that sounds nice and cool 😎
Did I see 45c on a recent weather forecast for your part of the world Varche?! I thought temps like that were reserved for bits of the middle east. :o
-
A refreshing 17 now...

yes you did. It has cooled down now to the high 30's. I love the light but the heat is a bind. We don't normally get that sort of heat till July and August.
-
It's hotter here today than yesterday. Car was showing 30 at 11 o'clock.
-
Not been out in car today but do know it,s too hot for me. That,s why i don,t go to the Med, just can,t stick it.
-
My undies feel like a window cleaners chamois !

Just been on a factory walk-round, ambient temp here is about 26, must have been 5-10c hotter around the injection moulding machine halls. I had on: suit trousers and shirt, cotton coverall coat, high vis tabbard, hair net, padded baseball cap and safety boots.
30mins in there and I couldn't have have been wetter if I'd spent the time under a hose :o
I've now retreated back to the air conditioned office and I won't be coming out until Thursday! ;D
-
31°C actually ::)
But Varche will send a hot surprise to Southwest Germany. Forecast for Wednesday is 37°C :o
That will be all time high for June.
@ jimmy. Oh molding injector machines...we have two Arburg 320 runnig in a 6 x6 m workshop :(

A tad warmer here...32.6C
Tho for 5 hours today been sat in the Ford with climate set at 19C 8)
At lunchtime I was in Weymouth and it was a cooler 24C. It was quite pleasant sitting outside under an umbrella in a seafront café, eating fish and chips, watching a very calm sea that actually had quite a few bathers in it :y

Lahr / Germany will reach ~22°C this June. Not Maximum, average over night and day. That is a subtropical value.

We had friends up from Kent over the weekend, decided to just have a lazy BBQ time, we have a south facing garden the garden thermometer was showing 39 degrees ,rigged the sprinkler up to spray gently over the garden chairs very refreshing , and lots of alcohol added to the experience.
-
35ºC air temperature yesterday in Arromanches and felt like 1000ºC in the sun! Thankfully the museum is air conditioned or I'd probably have caught fire.
-
34°C at Lahr airport weather station :o
Omega shows 36°C downtown :o ???

37C in my office at home this morning :o.
Still, could have been worse, the datacentre where I work had men on the roof with hoses, trying to cool the building, after some of the AHUs gave up the ghost ;D
-
42°C at work, our two molding injector machines are producing 18 kw each. We have a 1m 3kw vent (sounds like a helicopter) but everything seems to melt....
-
Cooler here today, a mere 21 degrees..with a nice breeze.
I hope you people down south survive ok. You can be on the news tomorrow. :y

30+ again....phew...bout 27C indoors... atm

General breakdown in the company. The machine cooling system failed due over temperature. All machines stopped. I changed 1000 L hot water into cold water and I could start the cooling system again. The molding injector machines will need some hours to cool down. It will be a very long hot evening. Still 31°C outside....
Rolf
-
Dramatically cool down today ;)
34°C yesterday, only 32°C today :)
Forecast for tomorrow is 35..37°C :o , hot air from France is coming in via gate of Burgund - our subtropical window.

It was around the 32 mark earlier. roll on Thursday..

Just right. Hot & sticky. Moist. Just as I like it.

June is real hot this year! 16 summer days (maximum temperature above 25°C) 6 tropical Days (maximum temperature above 30°C) and 2 tropical nights (minimum temperature above 20°C). Sunshine 230 hours! Rain: 22 mm, concentrated in two thunderstorms. Average temperature reached 20,5°C, all values yesterday included.
Actual temperature (19:00 UTC) 27,2°C, unclouded, no wind

Hope it will cool down over the weekend. I like to do some sandblasting at the fromt left frame. Not good to do at high temperatures.

Magic moments are not coupled to outside temperatures. I remember that famous night under the Aller bridge near Verden in Northern Germany. It was late October many, many years ago. We drove there with my old Rekord C. We made history that night....

Bloody rain.. it hasn't stopped since yesterday, here. My other half said "I like this weather!" :'( to which I responded "but how can I put the roof down in this weather?". I got that "Good, it won't mess up my hair!" look ;D
Funny how things evoke memories, though. James Blunt's "Goodbye my Lover" alwasy reminds me of an ex who gave me that album before she became an ex..
Hold on while I get all misty eyed and nostalgic, would you? ;D

Just back from a week's holiday with the
outlaws inlaws, average 40degC with 50degC in sun. Very enjoyable, although sweated a bit when very high humidity followed by the mother of all thunderstorms. 24 hours later ground was like a dustbowl again!

Heating stays off til winter!
Windows fully open today, warm and mostly sunny in Brakkers today, but feels like a summer storm might be on the cards...

I agree with you :y
However it depends of your definition of winter.. :-\
Mine was September sometime last year and it ended end of May this year ::) ;D
Ive not had the heating on for just about a month now ::) ;D
-
Feeling relatively cold today at 23degC in my office. Got used very quickly to the 40degC of the last week. :) :)
-
Berlin flooded! Up to 250 l/m2 rain in two days. :o
Here deepdown southwest the weather is more comfortable. Still 25°C, most sunny and a moderate western wind.
Optimal conditions to work on the Omega. I changed the left fog light. Glass, holder and adjustment mechanism were broken. The bumper has to by removed for that. 90 minutes work :)
-
So it looks like its true.
Brits do love talking about the weather! :)

You cannot reliably measure heat in the sun only in the shade.
I am a happy bunny today as the air con on our mobile greenhouse is fixed. 145 euros for repaired connecting pipe ( new flexible section between existing metal ends) and regas. Just in time for Temps to go back up next week.

28°C today. Next heatwave is comining. Forecast says minimum another five days 30..35°C!
Shit, I have to work....
Rolf

Outside sender was claiming 30C at midday. So brought sensor in and stood it by main unit, within 20 mins was within 0.1C of main unit.
Not sure way it was reading 30C earlier - whilst hot, wasn't that hot IMHO...

Omegas MID said 33,5°C late in the afternoon. Official weather station at Lahr airport measured 30,9°C. It was the 12th day >30°C this summer here.
Rolf
-
If it gets warm and I park up after a good drive, the sensor on my astra has been known to read 43°C. ;D
Drops down once I get going, so it's obvious heat from the rad.
-
Oh STEMO ! I read out the MID after parking in the shadow for 19 hours in my garage yard. Omegas sensor is always in good agreement to the local official weather station DWD (German Weather Digest) 10805, Lahr airport. (+/- 2K, that is the normal local temperature fluctuation)

I agree, but in the 'unreliable sun temperture' last week I ended up with an uncouth 'US Trumpkin redneck', after applying 15 factor, but worth it from the squeals of delight from my young daughter where I took her kite flying as it climbed up high in the thermals. :y :y :y IMO every child should fly a kite. 8) 8) 8)
STEMO comes across as a sad deprived Scouser who was too busy playing 'robin' to ever fly a kite, his only consolation from no longer any 'robin' is to own a whippet 'before you notice'! :P :P :P

Blinky hell....tonight...
24C outside and 25C indoors...tad too warm :(
got fan going to try to cool it down a tad.....

I can see storm clouds approaching, but will likely throw on the A/C unit in bedroom in a mo...
