Insurance check shows my new car as an MV6 - yet it has all the toys and is badged as an Elite.
Any ideas? :o

could stealers not tell u, just a thought. they could run your vin num through system and that will tell them exactly what it is.
-
could could use epc's lookup on reg or vin?
what does the log book say?
-
I get entry cannot be decoded, is that its original reg, or has it been on private plates and been given a left over?
or pm me your vin, ill check that

Is it the red estate Jamesie? I think it's an Elite.
Loads of cars seem to be specced wrongly on insurance database, not sure how you'd go about having it changed...just make sure they're not overcharging you!
Our CD is listed up on Logbook as a CDX as well.

this is funny, same thing as mother tunnies.
Its Elite spec, sunroof, hids, alloys, bose ect, but hers is listed as MV6 too! :-/ :-/

bingo
first Omega I had was listed as a Omega 2.5 TD GLS AUTO, yet it wasn't a TD, was the V6... Fun with insurance getting it sorted, they said they can't insure it as they didnt have that model on there database, so when I tried to tell them what it was they were being arsey saying if its not on there system it must be modified...
Ended up having to correct the model name via the DVLA on the logbook to remove the TD part...

What's the difference in the quote? Probably nowt, but it's worth asking. If it's nowt, job done.
If it's something, my money is on cheaper for the MV6. Their systems won't be sophisticated enough to care about the Elite spec that you have. MV6 will have a cheaper rebuild spec.
But then I am biased.
If it's owt and goes the wrong way, argue. But you don't need me to tell you that... :) :) :)

on some of my service history reciepts it states mine as a 3.2.. ummm :-?

on my logbook the CDX is listed as a CD :-[
Doesn't really matter to me these days as it has so much of so many spec levels it's a bitsa car
