Obviously a hell of a car, but why make all the mechanicals look like they came from a lego factory ?
Kind of spoils it imo.

The piping in the leather makes it look cheap........and tacky.

I love that motor. But not the Early Learning Centre engine bay
-
Just over a year ago I got the train to Londinium to buy one in the same colour as this one. I came home with another Omega. :-[ ;D

Honest opinion - I quite like the coloured mechanicals. For a simpleton such as myself it makes it easier to distinguish, at first glance where the pipework and cabling goes. Also what's attached to what. Again, I realise it makes me sound simple. But there you go.
Would I have gone to the trouble on my own car? No fracking way. ;D

couple of rattle cans in black satin trade would sort that in no time :y ;)

I like your thinking Henry. :y ;D

I don't mind all the mechanical underpinnings (suspension etc) being nylon coated in bright colours, but that engine bay.. really does look like Lego!

What planet is the owner of that on ? £3500 maybe £15500 never in a million years it looks dreadful
-
The sad thing is, he'll have put hundreds of hours of work into that, to get it the way he wants it. Hopefully, for him, other people will love what he's done, bit of a marmite job really.

Sounds about right for an old German tank.
The chavs have clearly been at work.
-
Its worth more than £3500. e38 750,s which aren't knackered and neglected are rising in value. ;)

In my opinion the 'chav additions' have reduced the price considerably to those people blessed with the gift of sight. :)

In that particular example, I would have to agree.Without the lego effect though, it would be a pretty desirable old bus.

Yep.....and I have always liked the 850 with the V12 lump. The coupe version looks especially good.
I've noticed quite a lot of less than excellent plastic used for the interior of German cars from this era. I sat in a Porsche 928 recently and was surprised how much plastic was used.

The chavvy engine is hidden away by the bonnet most of the time and I could probably live with the blue piping on the seats, but not at £15500! :o £3500 maybe.... :-\
