Meeting down in the big smoke today, arrived a bit early and ordered "a sparkling water please".
What I received:

Artisan water from Norway
Along with olives, nibbles and a box of tissues ;D
Some people really will buy anything! Any guesses on what the bill will be? :/
-
Change from a tenner if you're lucky? :D
-
I suppose you can be thankful that they served it in a glass and not on an old roof tile. ;D

Don't get me bloody started on that cr@p. Once when working in France I was served an appetiser- 2 crackers and some pate, on a square of fake moss! ::)

I'm just not going to ask what the tissues were for ::)
-
London ? expensive ? pretentious ? Never ! ;D..................I still like the place though - occasionally.
-
£8.50?
Depends on the nibbles.
PS I hope those are Spanish olives!
-
I agree - the best part of a tenner.
I remember about 5 years ago my daughter got charged around £125 for a bottle of vodka at China White nightclub. ::) :o

£14.75 + 10% service charge! ;D
-
A think it might be free :)
-
True. Client paying the bill. ;)
-
The bottle looks remarkably like a sample jar from the doctor.
The water looks clear so my guess is well hydrated urine. :)

It's described as Norwegian Artisan Water. They musty have got a few plumbers, chippies etc from Oslo to piss in the bottles! ;D

Is the correct answer! :y
However, in this case the client is picking up a not-at-all-unreasonable £3.95. Given this was opposite tower hill tube, and had the benefits of free wifi I suspect this may be the cheapest place to buy a bottle of water, snacks and Wifi in that area ;D. And that is before you consider the thoroughly lovely surroundings.
A very nice chap in a suit and an honest-to-goodness bowler hat opened the door of my taxi, carried my bag and ushered me through to the cocktail bar. You don't get service like that in Kidderminster ;D.
My second meeting of the afternoon, was less good value however. One burger, one Cesar salad, one diet coke and 2 waters - £75 plus service (which was appauling) :o

Whatever became of the carpet industry?
-
I could have sworn that was Axminster.

Well if you will go to Burger King instead of McDonalds what can you expect. ;)

It is. Axminster Carpets is not far from here and I worked there as a lad. :y
