Title: paint spraying cost
Post by: raywilb on 15 July 2017, 13:00:30
I took a bumper (grey) & bonnet (silver) to be resprayed  blue Z 20 Q the guy that I took it to has phoned me that they wouldn't be ready Wednesday as first told. he does work for Yorkshire tv & they have sent him 90 bits for him to paint. its a lucrative contract for him, so I understand why he put me back. I have phoned another shop but their price was out of my price. my question is to spray a change of colour a bonnet & bumper which are off a car so no masking involved what would be a fair price ?

the guy I always use is good at is job but never gave me a quote , but on his past recent jobs I have taken him I doubt it would've been £200. the other shop £550

I would say £200 is incredibly competitive.  Even with some of the people I know as mates of mates type thing, I'd be expecting not far off £200 for bumper alone.

I believe I paid £200 for TBE's bumper following the fire, though that included some work to take the deformaties out following the intense heat...

I wouldn't bother mixing any paint if I could get a bonnet and bumper done for £200!
