Hit the south coast at around 11:30 and still going strong... looked like someone was carpet bombing everything from Chichester to Brighton as it approached :o
Just about overhead now, with almost continous lightening. Awesome 8)

Not reached this far North as yet. They were saying on the news this morning there's been something like 100,000 lightning strikes in the channel and over the South of England and Wales.

It certainly came this far, although had largely petered out.. about 10pm or so there was a fair bit of lightening (some distance away) but not a huge downpour.

Yep, was kicking off about 10.30 around here, no rain and still nice and warm, we were in the Garden of one of our local pubs in the middle of Epping Forest (No Street Lamps) quiet spectacular, lighting strikes accross the sky every few seconds, quiet eerie really looked like something out of a War of the Words Film.

I'm not sure what was louder, the thunder or the cat howling at it ;D
