Title: Camshaft swap
Post by: frostbite on 08 August 2017, 20:55:16
I found an interesting picture of a C18XE
It seems to have 2 exhaust cams, Im sure that the X20XER had the same

Is this what gives the extra power like the g cams in a 2.5?
Obviously with the egr capped off

How can you tell they're both exhaust cams?
Or are you being misled by the markings on the cam pulleys? Which are the same, with timing marks for both inlet and exhaust cams.

I read that the c18xe uses the same inlet and exhaust (L cams)

Supposedly the inlet cam on x20xev but I dont know

I do know that the x20xer has much higher lift that requires dished pistons so its a no go.

What I want to know, would there be any gains in having either two inlets or exhaust cams?
