What's the current recommendation?
I know there have been a few successes with pattern ones, I'm just not sure which :y
Thanks!

Also, the breather seals and o rings - where to buy? dealer says no!
-
Don't know about what gaskets are being used.Last year I bought a pack of seals from Vx stealers that are described as o rings,it consists of four round ones and one that looks slightly deformed as it looks like a not quite formed figure 8.The part number for the pack is 90500983.I believe the one that's hard to source[if it's possible at all]is the one that sits beneath the breather bridge.

Wasn't Webby running something like Payen gaskets?
-
Elring on mine for the last 3 and a half years. They were part of a £12 head set, that I used all of. I didn't have new O rings, so gave them a smear of silicone.
-
I've used Victor Reinz on mine, installed 2.5 years ago, and all good for now. Previous set was the same manufacturer, almost no leaks for over 4 years.
Not sure how common this manufacturer is in UK. I'd go for erling if VR wasn't available.

Used Victor Reinz on mine too,so far so good

Which "O" rings do you require? I have sets of the inlet manifold rings, £8 a set posted

I am in need of cam cover gaskets. I bought a set from Leader Specialist Components, Redhill Surrey, presuming they would be the same as supplied previously, and depicted in their e-bay advert. they sent instead Hans Pries TOPRAN gaskets, labelled ERSETZT - replacing. They seemed all right, fitted OK, but on first fitting one of the 1-3-5 gaskets became displaced and got cut in 2, I fitted a second one, it seemed OK, but now that side is smoking, suggesting an oil leak.
Where do I get Payen or Elring cam cover gaskets?
-
I can probably get Elring I will check and let you know :y

Reintz gaskets come with O rings
