After the US, UK & EU bankers getting away pretty much scot free it makes a good change to see somebody brought to book for their corporate fraud. :y :y :y

Nope, just a healthy dose of realistic cynicism borne out of almost 60 years life experience. :)
Those at the very top of the food chain rarely suffer from their own decision making, or lack of it, these days. Once upon a time, it used to be a case of "the buck stops here" when you sat at the head of the table, but those days have long gone.

Spot on. During my business life I saw enough " Tom Clancey" moves to make me realise people revert to being animals rather than being the nice guys they are perhaps outwardly seen as. This is especially so when the going gets tough.
I had the misfortune for example to see the absolute chaos caused by the ntl free Internet for everyone stunt.
I dare say that VW will cover the fall guys "costs" if they have any honour.
