As this doesn't occur every day I presume some air fresheners must be safer than others and would guess Chinese and Eastern European ones are the most dangerous. Are they made to conform to a BS or CE standard and are they checked during your MOT?

Such an unfortunate event, begs the question, what would happen if you had a garage full of Magic Tree air fresheners and heat and sunlight set it on fire? I'm sure somewhere on this planet somebody will surely know? ??? ??? ???

Seen no mention of the make and type of car air fresheners involved so people can remove them from their car. :(

With that sort of level of damage, I would have thought it's only a matter of time before somebody is killed? :(

A lot of people are using these.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=freshmatic&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=196716320156&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9635103409347273030&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9044886&hvtargid=kwd-301861728908&ref=pd_sl_8k7x32hx8u_e_p28

They contain a propellant and the fragrance, both inflamable, and as its compressed,  left in a car in the heat. !!!!!!!!!

Poor girl.  :(

But.. OK, I'm going to say it... I just wondered... Cute girl... Whipped cream..  :-X

Yeh, I know. Filed under "chance would be a fine thing". ::)

I do wonder if this is down to the use of CFC free propellants such as Propane and Butane.
