Fairly easy to get that out of a tractor over a short run (assumed you reset mpg same time you reset trip distance)...

As you say you came "down" from Uig i take it that it was downhill all the way and you coasted most of the time. ;D ;D ;D

That wouldn't have been too bad on LPG.  ;)

Unless you were in to 3 figure speeds, thats not good.

I hit 90mph on a couple of occasions but for the most I was hovering on the 80 mark.

Did another run this morning, 35 miles at 80, and 35 at 90 - got 22mpg..

On a constant 80-90mph (continental) run, I get low/mid 30s out of the MV6

As said, I think it's partly due to the autobox, partly due to the fact I dont think the engine is setup properly (valve timing + needs service) and also 'cos I've got a whacking great gearbox in the boot, which is going to be fitted tomorrow :)

Dont forget I am also having engine management issues which I will investigate once the gearbox is fixed - I am getting low voltage codes for one lambda, and the dreaded code 19...
