This is a bit of a memory jogger......can anyone remember or know of a chain of workshops that you can rent space/equipment on a daily basis,as I'm behind on some odds and sods that need doing on my cars.The work is mainly interior stuff but there will be a small amount of paint to be done after they come back from the welder and seeing what the weather is like lately,I thought I would try and rent some space in the dry and get back on track.Any where West/South or South West of London would do,otherwise I'm going to have to leave the work until next year's shitty summer weather. :-\

Thanks Al and Tunnie, the Oxford one could be a contender,the Park Royal not so sure about. Thinking about perhaps buying one of Machine Mart's temporary garages and using it for what's needed,and then either stick it on the Bay for a knock down or alternatively donate it to one of the local charities. This last option is going to REALLY piss my neighbours off bigtime....but hey ho! ;D

It's a shame that there arn't more those places about, but I bet the H&S and insurance is a nightmare! ::)

Knowing your neighbours, that would be the preferred route :D
The fallout with them and the council might just be more dangerous than a trip to Park Royal though... :-\
Oxford is an easy run from you though, so probably the best all-round option. Be warmer too ;)

Think you are right Al,will give them a call in the week,not sure how long the welding is going to take,and we have another one lined up for a bit of metal surgery as well...hence the small amount of paint to be do done...and I can't really do that sort of stuff out in the open....a bit late in the year to risk it. :-\

Unless you are working out of a van / car everyday and keep all your tools in the vehicle, I would be tempted to do what you can at home. Been there, got the t shirt as they say...no matter what tools and equiptment you take, I will guarantee you will forget the something you need, and not being at home it will be impossible to get them.
Working where your tools are kept is imho the best working enviroment.
