Title: My wish(bones) has come true!
Post by: Bigron on 21 September 2017, 13:53:33
The ATP wishbones arrived today and to my non-mechanical engineering eyesm they look as solid as a brick shithouse, and the other bits (track rod ends and drop links?) look pretty good too.
Heavy, substantial and with pretty welding, all for £70 delivered - seems good to me.  :y ;D 8)

Yay! I can't wait to get mine fitted, as I can't go far until then.

I brought the ATP set and they were bang on.

The bones lasted 3 years iirc and the drop links and tre's are still going strong.  :y

Thanks for the reassurance, Webby. When I opened the parcel, to my untrained wye they looked the dog's 'dangle berries'!
Not that I'm hinting, but I do need someone to fit them - nearby, if I have to travel because my coolant leak won't let me go far, otherwise I'd take myself off to Serek.

Take a top up can, and get him to fix the leak as well. :y

I carry several cans, but you can't top up on the M11.

It must be pissing out if you can't get that far with a few top ups along the way?  :o  ::)  :-\

Join Autoaid ( approx. £40 pa) and call them out for recovery half way to Sereks place. Get them to drop you and your car off there.  ;)

Allow plenty of time. Ensure that you have your lucky rabbit's foot and every other totem you've ever owned with you, along with plenty of change for the swear box.

Autoaid's service is atrocious.

Ive used them 3 times in the last 3 years. First time I waited 15 minutes, second time an hour and a half, third time two hours.
Not brilliant, but acceptable to me for the price.

I'm with Green Flag, so that could be an option, thanks.  :y

You can easily expect those sort of waits from the 'big boys' of the recovery industry as well.  ::)

Now that my radiator has been replaced (thanks to EssexBigAl), I can at last venture forth on my pilgrimage to Serek's garaage to ahve my ATP wishbones fitted expertly, as soon as the saintly Serek finds me a slot in his workshop (that was a hint) - Serek, you have a PM, if you are reading this!
