I'm going away for a few days next week and booked my airport parking via TopCashback.
I paid £78.99 for the parking and expected 9.45% cashback so £7.46. However when I checked my TopCashback account it showed I'd paid £65.83 and the cashback was £1.38! >:(
I put in a complaint to TopCashback and have had a reply that they will take it up with the retailer but it might take a few months to sort out! :-\ ::)
Anyone come across this before? ???

So you paid 65.83+1.38=66.21 instead of 78.99-7.46=71.54 and you’re upset?

In the case of complaints against TC, have a look at MSE (Martyn Lewis), there is a good forum on this and details how to complain. I recently got £75 compensation plus the expected cashback, because of a delayed payment of cashback from an insurance coy. :y

That will partly be the VAT then.
Check to terms some retailers only pay on the ex vat amount.

Took a long time though, IIRC?

No, I paid £78.99 - £1.38 = £77.61, instead of the £78.99 - £7.46= £71.53 that I was expecting to pay.
I saved 38p by going through TopCashback rather than booking and paying directly with the airport carpark! ::) ;D

Yes you are right. £65.83 is ex vat. :( Even so 9.45% of £65.83 ain't £1.38 though! :o >:(
I'll let you know what the outcome is in a few months when and if they get back to me..... ::)

Try purple parking.

Tiz too late now all booked and sorted! :y
You do get shafted for airport parking when you book at short notice though. :-\

Hence why I said partly - rate is wrong too! Fingers crossed they sort it for you.

Yes, but only because I hadn't realised I could have registered the complaint with the ins co. much earlier. :y

I'd consider the 30p a bonus - I've never actually been successful in getting any money out of TopScamQuidCoBack or similar.. and the one time I did, I left it in the account for a while and they deleted my account. Which was nice of them.
But I'm not bitter or anything, you understand ;D

I have had £1725 since I started using it several years ago. Mainly by changing utilities and house and car insurance companies every year. :y

Sometimes shit tracks lower, then gets bumped up later.
I don't include TCB in any purchasing decision. Anything I get back is a bonus... ...which is a decent amount so far ;)
-
As a rule I tend to use TCB these days over Quidco (which I had horrendous issues with), TCB seems to work most of the time, I would say around 95% success, Ive probably had over 200 quid back over the last few years, the 5% that doesn't Ive learnt to just give up on it, reporting issues rarely gets resolved for me so I just live with it.

That's what I thought, but there is some law that covers this, and a thread about it on MSE. Cashback is deemed a promotional price IIRC, and if not paid within a certain time, compensation plus cashback is due, as I discovered to my delight. :y
