Anyone recently put an exhaust trim on the 3.0/3.2 twin pipes? Due to their being 2 pipes being close together some may not fit side by side :-\
The Zafira has a nice little Chrome trim (from the factory) which makes it look nice. Always thought the eternal exhausts are good value, but don't look great...

Those tail pipes don't look round to me, bit of a lip at the top of them.....somebody reversed into a high kerb, perhaps :-\ ::)

How about something like this.....if it fits :-\

Used a block of wood on end pipes to wack it onto he centre pipes, when fitting.

If they're anything like the ones on SWMBO's Kuga then there is a single screw which clamps it onto the exhaust.

Last time I changed the tailpipe on my 3.2, I fitted a Bosal system. The old tailpipe was one of the OEM originals with the angled stainless tips which were held on by two blobs of weld. I ground the welds off to remove the tips, and then slid them over the new tailpipe using some plastic metal to hold them in position. Were still on when I sold the car. Only trouble is, not many cars these days still have the original GM tailpipe with the stainless tips on......

Original GM in the UK never had chrome tips early pre -facelift had gloss black though.

Yes they did :y

I got a pair of cheap ones off ebay for about 15 quid a couple of years ago.
Yes they are a bit tight together but a piece of wood between the pipes to spread them about a 1/4 inch did the trick.
They are held on with a small self tapping screw which bites up against the exhaust but I recommend you drill a small pilot hole and insert a slightly larger screw or you can bet your life one of the buggers will fall off :-X :-X
Also its not worth spending stupid money because due to the salt and crap on the roads, it will rust so just replace when they look shit :y :y

Agreed, just want to tidy the back end up a bit. Actually bought some for the VW but I never used, they are a little loose. But I think I'll use these and just drill a small hole as you say.

This thread reminded me that I also want a pair of trims. Ive just been out and done a bit of measuring with a digital caliper.
Diameter of pipes on mine is 50.5mm and the gap between them is 12mm.
Might be of help ?

Not sure tbh. It was put on the car just before I bought it. :-\

Yes, you are absolutely correct about original GM never having chrome tips.
The original OEM tailpipe tips were actually stainless steel.
