I’ve finally done it. I’ll be getting my new XC60 in about a week or so.
It’s not the new shape, which is too BIG and expensive, but a pre-registered “old” shape, on a 17 plate. Mega miles on the clock, 10, and that’s actual miles not thousands of miles :y
A nicely specced car with a fair few factory options. Yes, it’s fueled by the dreaded black stuff & has 5 cylinders.

Nice, part-x'ing the Mondeo?

Yep. I really like the Mk4 Mondeo, but I’ve had three of them now and fancied a change. Dwindling stocks of the old shape sort of forced my hand really as I actually paid less for it than many year old examples go for. I’d located a cracking ‘67 plater this morning - but rang up to reserve it but someone had just beaten me to it. Still I’ve got an extra cylinder for less money :y. I’ve not had a “new” car for quite a while so thought why not. In the not to distant future interest rates will have gone up and all the pre-reg XC60s will have gone.

Lovely comfy vehicles, hope it serves you well! :y
And I'm very partial to a Swedish interior

Thanks. It’s got the built in child booster seats in the back - good job we have a couple of suitably sized grandchildren to occupy them.

Great cars I like them, a colleague at work has had a couple no problems at all.

Sounds great, well done. :y

Last of the reasonable Volvos, the latest range of Chinese funded tat is not nearly as good.

Very nice Robert.....enjoy. :y

Thanks all. I feel like a small child waiting for xmas :D.
I see it as an early retirement present. If I’d waited another year or so then there would be no zero milers left & interest rates can only go up. Even SWMBO agrees with the logic & approves of the child seats.
