Title: Hunting
Post by: Mister Rog on 21 November 2017, 00:01:11

I do not approve of fox hunting with dogs, but if I had been the horse rider I would have whipped him as well

I suspect a PR job here. Only at the very end did he attempt to get away

WHIPPED (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-sussex-42056947/footage-shows-hunt-saboteur-being-hit-with-riding-crop)

Yep, from what I saw the horse rider was defending herself, so it was "in self defence m'lord" ;)

No issues with that at all.  The dickhead deserved it for trying to grab the horses bridle, which could have spooked the horse and thrown the rider.  >:(

In many ways its just a pity the horse didn't kick him to death.

Either of my mother's heavy hunters would have, and probably done so gleefully.  :y

I知 not reading it. I see no point in upsetting myself by being reminded of how evil some people are. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.

Poking animals with sharp implements and then subjecting them to a violent death. I'm surprised anyone in Spain is bothered, this sort of thing is in their culture surely? Other than, in this incident no one sold popcorn or tickets.  ::)

While I agree that this chap deserved a good thrashing, I知 not against hunt saboteurs per se. Hunting with dogs has no place in today痴 society. Most people are appalled at hare coursing and I see no difference.

It is in the culture, Spain after all has bull fighting. In the last ten years we have seen a big change but it tends to be led by urban areas. Old countryside habits die hard. I struggle to deal with the stuff i encounter on a regular basis.

Quite right and hunting with dogs is illegal, drag hunting though is legal and these saboteurs are harassing folk carrying out a legal pastime.  >:(

I've always thought it's more about bashing the 'toffs' than animal rights, which is wrong as well, because people from all walks of life belong to their local hunt.  ;)  I suspect that most of these 'sabs' are fully paid up members of Momentum.  :-X

Quite right, it was when Blair fought so hard for it, and it still is today.  :( I know a number of people who "hunt" to this day, none of them are toffs, or what most would describe as wealthy. Ultimately, regardless of status or class, people should be allowed to engage in a legal pastime (largely on private land) without being harassed by masked yobs.
