Having had my wishbones replaced (thanks Serek), I went to Tyre-Smart (Witham) to have four-wheel alignment done on their Hunter machine, using the Forum figures.
It drives like a new car now - hands-off straight line steering and braking, no problem!
We get trade price as Forum members, so £64 for all adjustments, with rear alignments charged as one job, i.e. one side free.
Oh, and free tea or coffee whilst you wait.....
Ron.

Good to know |Ron. At ABS, we used to recommend Supertyres in Maldon. Turned out to be a right shower after some management got replaced

I'm only too pleased to be able to share information here, Keith, after all the great help I've received from the Forum.  ;D

I tried the place in Maldon and it had become the worst outfit I ever had the displeasure of trying to do business with.
Tyre Smart did a good job on mine, although they claimed to have no knowledge of the forum discount and charged me £89.
I'm not complaining though as they took a lot of time and trouble to do the job properly.
Ron, I will see you around 4.30pm.  :y
Good to hear your all sorted now.  :y

				Result. :y
Never seen a proper alignment place over here. Might be tucked away in some main dealer premises. Just wet string and a couple of spirit levels. I took my bus in to have the tracking adjusted and the steering wheel was at 10 oclock in a straight line. I went back and they said so what but did adjust it begrudgingly

Good that you complained; I hate having a misaligned steering wheel, it just feels SO wrong.

Ron  , so is that £64 all in  or £64  plus the rear adjustment  . Oh  & vat ?  As Albs paid almost £90   :-\ :-\
Lets start again  ;D ;D   . . .  how much is the full set up inc. VAT  ?   :-\ :-\

Ron.
With a steering box, it is imperative that straight ahead is at 12 o'clock as there's a slack spot at the straight ahead position.

			-
Yes, DG, mine is perfectly straight ahead, no problems.
Al, the £64 was my total bill for complete alignment - the OOF discount was termed "Trade Deal"; I negotiated that when I first went there and they condemded my wishbones, so Albs must have got the wrong bloke. I'll see if I can sort it tomorrow!

Great to have the Omega sorted, they are really great cars.

Yes, I agree, and I would hate to part with mine, although with my recent issues (all new tyres, radiator, wishbones, etc.) it was a possibility.
However, correcting them has cost me about £500 overall, so I had better keep it!
