...except in the world of quantum physics. Where in theory an atom can get hotter while an adjacent one gets cooler in an arrow of time reversal. This has now been proven in an experiment at a UK university using chloroform atoms.

Obvious, really.

Time travel into the future is possible.
A man in a rocket, which can reach a velocity very close to the speed of light (186,000 miles a second) would effectively slow down the passage of time almost to a halt. This is science fact not science fiction. The atomic clocks on the ISS show time passing slightly slower than down on Earth.
This means the man in the rocket could return to Earth barely any older than when he left. However everybody he knew would be long dead.

Present day thinking by boffins with brains the the size of a small planet suggest time travel to the past is not possible.

Time travel is obviously not possible. No matter when it was achieved, we would have had people visit us from the future. Adam and Eve would have had a curious audience.

It would be like David Attenbrough, Chris Packham and David Bellamy doing a live report from the Panda enclosure ;D

Hold on, the Daily Express had a story recently about a man who had apparently travelled back from 2028! :o :P

It must be true! :D ;D

If we are to reach distant stars and planets we will need to slow down the passage of time for the people who travel there.
Obviously for people still on Earth time will pass at the normal speed for us, which is far faster than for those on the spaceship moving at close to the speed of light.
It's not difficult to understand just difficult to achieve. It's only rocket science. :) ::)

Or learn how to put humans into hibernation for thousands of years.

We can already do this.
Ah...no....I'm confusing hibernation with death. Because you're a long time dead. :)
