Title: Another Email Scam
Post by: Sir Tigger KC on 20 December 2017, 21:08:53
I've had an email from QHotels confirming my reservation at the The Cambridge Belfry from 19/12/17 to 22/12/17 and thanking me for my deposit of £184.  ::)

Of course I have made no such reservation, and in the email there is a link to check the reservation and the total cost. Luckily I decided to check the hotel website first, where there is a message warning people not to open the link in such emails!  :o

So beware as I'm sure this one has caught a lot of people!  >:(  I nearly fell for it!  ::)

I'm now running a full scan on my laptop before checking my bank accounts!  ;)

You’ll be getting one telling you to pay your tax bill with iTunes vouchers next.  :)

I am still waiting for my million since sending that poor William Nbongo in Nigeria 20,000 and my bank details. Mind you my Apple wallet has been locked today so maybe that is the problem.

Hate all these scams, dodgy bastards need stringing up by their 'dangle berries'.

Yes, plenty of them around from speeding & parking tickets with .zip files containing details malware to bogus flight and hotel reservations. If you are not expecting an email from a trusted source always bin it. :y
