Hi out there!
Here in good old Germany, we have a strict tradition. Sylvester is when "Dinner for One" is on the TV. It is the most ever repeated sketch ever on German TV. I know it since I was a child. In the 70s it runs only on the third line programs, but it became cult.
Today no TV station can do the Sylvester program without "Dinner for One". Does anyone knows it in UK?
I think it is a UK production of the late 60s. German NDR (Northern Germany Broadcast) did only some explanations because of the language...

Hi, I don't think many of us here know what "Sylvester" is. So. . . .

Sorry Mr. Rog
Sylvester in Germany is "New Years Eve" in UK. The last day of the year.

There seem to be numerous versions of it some in German and some in English, including one by Mr Bean. This is maybe an original ?
