I finally managed to crack the glass screen on my Samsung Galaxy S5 when it fell out of my pocket and landed on a tiled floor :'(
Has anyone here got any experience of fitting a replacement glass? It still works fine so I imagine it just needs a new glass (and not the much more expensive screen and touch sensor)
The process appears to be similar to (in principle) to repairing an Omega headlamp (eg warm it up enough to soften the glue and allow the front to be prised off)
Plan B is to do nothing seeing as it still works.................

Yep, I've gone this on Mrs. KW's Samsung phone and it's not too bad a job and the bits are cheap. :y

I did it on my Windows phone but for some reason after making a call I have to unlock the screen to hang up and it`s really annoying.
Quite an easy job to do but I don`t know if my issue is with the replacement screen being faulty or if it`s something I`ve done :-\
