Title: Need a new hobby ?
Post by: 78bex on 16 January 2018, 00:15:17
I`ve watched several of these vids where they renovate diecast models.

We`ve all got the odd rattle can about & probably some cherished matchbox or corgi hidden away.  This bloke uses an air brush & probably makes it look easier then it is .
I might sacrifice renovate my old corgi Triumph 2000, when I can find the time  :y

Some of the older models suffer with broken or missing tyres, I need to do some research

Did one some years ago, bought a tatty Corgi Senator A in gold[most common colour for the Corgi]drilled the rivet heads off that hold the baseplate on and took it to pieces.Resprayed[rattle can]the shell in helios blue to match the real Senator I had, painted the interior to match as close as I could get the real thing and a bit of detail painting[rubbing strips, back panel etc]re-assembled it and used a little bit of glass fibre to re-attach the baseplate.Still have the model among my collection, sadly no longer have the real one.
