Unfortunately these things happen.  :'(

If I were a betting man, then it would have involved rushing and/or ice. A Renault Kangoo is never going to be a match for a pick up...

Condolences to those involved though, as nobody goes to work expected to not go home...

Via a friend in the know - two vehicle collision; one stopped on a crossing and one in motion (pickup vs Kangoo, latter t-boned by the former). The fatality was due to a cardiac arrest subsequent to the accident.

The pictures would bear this out... Possible that neither driver would have seen the other. Combination of inattention and crossings...

The Kangoo driver probably saw the BAA vehicle approaching along the taxi way in time to stop, but not soon enough to avoid the collision. Crossing etiquette depends largely on whether the crossing is controlled or not. Background lighting doesn't help matters either.
