Title: Gators for gear stick and handbrake
Post by: MW-Omega on 22 February 2018, 01:11:16
Any one know a good source for the black gators around gearstick and handbrake?
One of my 2003 V6s is very tidy (inside and out) apart from the gators which have semi perished and make it look its age.
I am actually after both manual and auto sets.

I've had decent results with ones from ebay, it fiddly swapping over but looked miles better

Mine came from eBay.

They're not a straight fit, as you need to do some trimming with a sharp blade, and glue them to the surrounds. That's about 45 minutes for both.

I made my own!
Charity shop £5 for a pair of black leather trousers or skirt or jacket.
Old gaiters off and unpick the stitches to get templates, cut new leather, sew up, fit, jobs a good un.
Took me about 20 mins to sew up each one, proper leather as well, none of that leatherette stuff!
