Title: Argh it is all going wrong
Post by: Varche on 08 March 2018, 13:46:55
4x4 wipers were slow to start these last few days but dont work today. We have more rain forecast till at least Sunday. . Had one inch in last 12 hours.

Computer monitor doesnt switch on or off. Easy fix, buy a new one when wipers work

Bought some wood from local carpenter. Provided measurements and the dillon misread one so it is 10 cm short. It only took hime two amd a half weeks to do what he said wouldtake a week. So now cant get on with project. Cant drive off to get it sorted as no wipers. Did I mention it is raining.

Just waiting for something else

Forgot to ask re wipers.....

Relay? I hope it isnt the steering column arm as that is quite complicated. The arm still operates the screen washers front and rear and rear wipers so I am thinking not a fuse.

Any thoughts appreciated on the no wiper function after being slow for them to get going these last few days? It was almost as though the electricity had a long way to travel to operate the wipers and when it got there it was low powered.

Could it be something as simple as a corroded spindle and or motor seizure? You did mention heavy rain.....

Ron.

Thanks for that. Worked a treat. :y Been some nasty potholes develop and I am sure that it was just a wiring connector problem. Can't say where. Anyway it is working.

I then shot off and the carpenter agreed it was their cockup. So another four days added onto the critical path of the project. Collect new bit on Monday senor.

While I was getting wet and cold fixing the car Mrs V followed an Indian utube tutorial and fixed my monitor.

A curry and a damned good black Swedish drama and all is well in Utopia. :y
