Does anyone know if the front bumper from a facelift 2.2 sport like the one in the link will fit my 53 plate CDXi 2.6 please ?

found one local-ish in the colour i need
will i need the foam and crash bar etc ? or are they all the same underneath ?
will the pair of cdxi fogs i just ordered fit ?
will i be better to paint a cdxi (also local) item to keep it original cdxi spec
i'm new to omega B spannering ,sorry , been spannering omega A's (carlton) for 18 years :P

Fogs in the Sport bumpers are different to normal fog lights, you will need 'Sport' versions, not many about.
Bumper should be a straight swap, the Sports came with headlight washers as well, so should have holes for washers etc that your CDX has.

Not many Sports about, 99% sure the fogs are different, I think they are bit bigger.

If that is available it's worth buying for all the parts you need,the bumper on that is known as Mv6 prodrive bumper, bit more desirable, than the standard type,.

I will grab it and the fogs if condition is ok ,not seen it close up , seller assures me all panels are nice condition and he has the wing and door i need ,in the colour i need :)
if it does just bolt on the cdxi ,that lets me repair the original bumper as a spare to paint at my leisure.

going to strip the bad panels off this weekend ,see what horrors are hidden
(though i checked the inner wing.chassis rail,rads etc )

The 2.2 Sports Front Bumper is the Same as the MV6 Front Bumper there both Prodrive, also fairly sure the Fog lights are the same across all Facelift Models just mounted differently on the Sports / MV6 (ie they should swap / fit).

Tunnie might be thinking of irmscher bumpers and their different fog lights ?

Looking at bumper lights looked different, but as always a nice polite correctional post by certain someone. But yeah Irmscher ones were very different being spot lamps

Actually there not Spot Lamps, there Fog Lamps in a circular housing.

I live in Derbyshire , I need the FOG lights to light up the sections of road good enough to drive on , not collapsed into mine shafts or washed away by flooding :P
plus we get more fog than daylight ::)
* I only use fog lights as in accordance with the highway code *

??? I thought the Headlight setup was just used to warn traffic ahead to move out my way ;D

Sounds like you have an issue there then, as the Omega lights, whilst far from the best, are perfectly OK when in good working order.
Apart from to test they work, or to return the favour to the usual plebs around these parts who think its cool and wicked to drive everywhere with fogs on, I don't think I've ever used them on mine.

All comments i made about the lights are in jest :)
I know the later GM model headlights are plastic, need polishing to remove oxidization
We have 4 astra G's and 2 Corsa c's all in the family fleet ,all of which I'm appointed fixer ;)
I'm not using the mega yet ,till i've gone over it all ,fixed everything :y
still driving my carlton , which has real glass on the headlamps 8)
though the candles do blow out if you drive too fast ;D
