Perusing the OOF cars for sale section, I learn that posting cars on facebook sells them in a trice. I didn't know that. I have always bought my cars on e-bay, not many there at the moment. Is facebook a good place to buy and sell cars?

Although I don't use FB my granddaughter does and she found the "new" mobile phone that I bought on there. One of my step daughters also uses it and sold her old Focus on there within two days.I suppose though that like other selling methods you can still get the usual muppets asking stupid questions about something they've no intention of buying in the first place and wasting your time and theirs.

I recently sold a really tidy Fiesta, ebay classified at £15 resulted in plenty of silly offers, Autotrader at £35 resulted in literally bugger all, Facebook marketplace and I was deluged with enquiries and it sold easily from one of these

Facebook it taking over forums massively, tbh it’s only because Omega’s attract a older generation that oof is still going. A lot of other forums are a ghost town, it’s a Shame as you can’t search for post on how to do things and people will just redirect you to a how to on a forum so why bother with fb in the first place?
