A month or so ago we bought a new kitchen sink & tap ..... that in itself turned out to be a saga.
Anyway, today, against my better judgement, despite it cracking the flags up here, I set about removing the old sink, out dish washer to remove the clamps under the sink, out waste pipes etc
Opened the box for the new composite sink to find the b'stard was broken ...... looked like it'd been in a debate with Sammy Sledgehammer. ??? ??? >:(
New sink on order & had to refit the old sink.
Lesson learned ..... inspect new part before removing old one. Thing is, that's something I would ALWAYS do at work ..... so why didn't I do it at home? :'(

Note to self: continue with pathological aversion to DIY. . . .

I had exactly the some thing with a bathroom basin last month. It turned up smashed to pieces.
I did open the box before removing the old one though. :P ;D

Another successful Hermes delivery...:D

Nowt that gorilla glue and a bit of wet and dry wouldnt sort out.
The bowls look watertight still.
Just always leave crockery out draining and put a tea towel over the lot at night like our parents did. :y

Don't do that she is bound to use her prerogative to object. Just assemble it and in the unlikely event of the repair being spotted say it is a modern marbling effect to recreate nature.
