Today i was up the hill to my wives grave. It is something up the hill, but i needed something down the hill. So i went back to the Omega. A small black cat sprung though the bushes. I recognized her instantly. It was the cat i gave away under tears 5 years ago.
I called her former Name, she looked at me. But no real resonance. So i went back to my wife's grave something up the hill.
But the cat came back to us. Presenting a mouse between her teeth. I am sure it was our cat, living her own life. So i should do....

A very poignant story. Each of us who have been where you are now has our own way of grieving/coping-what worked for me when I lost Maureen after 21yrs would possibly not work for you etc-obviously you will never forget her and nor should you try/need to.But yes you should at least make plans for a way forward with your life if possible but take each day as it comes and I'm sure you'll find the way, both for your own sake and for the sake of your late wifes memory.I think she would want you to be happy and not remain in mourning forever.Early days yet of course, but you'll always have the memories of the many happy times you shared, which will return unbidden at times but the hurt will ease and you'll remember with fondness and not the pain of your loss.

Great words Baza. :y

I'm always amazed how some people always seem to come up with exactly the right words at difficult times, as I have never really known what to say. :-\ :-[
My Dad died when I was 22 and someone said to me a couple of days after, "There's a big hole in your life right now, but trust me although that hole will never go away it does get smaller and easier to deal with as time goes by." He was right and those words have always stayed with me. :)
