In yesterdays Moto2 race Romano Fenati grabbed a rivals front brake lever while they were doing about 125mph.Luckily the other rider managed to stay on the bike and not crash out.Fenati was black flagged and after reviewing the footage the governing body have given Fenati a 2 race ban.For such dangerous behaviour in an already dangerous sport is a 2 race ban enough?

Nope - a damn good kicking followed by a lifetime ban and an police investigation for an attempted murder charge.
-
What penalty would they have had to mete out if he had seriously injured or killed that rider?
The man is obviously a dangerous and unpredictable maniac whose lack of control or morality has no place in any sport, let alone one where people are prepared to put their well-being on the line to entertain others.
Get rid of him!!

The other rider should make a complaint to the police, they would have to investigate and I don't see how they could avoid bringing charges.

Cal Crutchlow has called for a lifetime ban, and for once he is talking sense. If he had managed to pull the lever slightly harder, the bike would have went end over end at probably 130+mph. The rider could easily have been killed.
His team have announced they are ending his deal early and MV Agusta have cancelled his contract for next year.

Quite right
-
Lifetime ban by virtue of him having become toxic with a bit of luck, then.
-
Even if he didn't have previous "form" for some questionable antics what he did was totally out of order, thankfully the teams seem to have taken this latest move as the step too far it obviously was.His sponsors-if they've anything about them-will also withdraw their support.a lifetime ban must surely be a consideration, racing incidents are part and parcel of the sport but that was a deliberate malicious act on his part and could so very easily have resulted in serious injury or a fatality.

Agree with aarorjb but with a good showing and a fuc(ing good old fashioned shaking thrown in too! I can’t understand why the other rider didn’t F@ck him up as soon as the race finished he’s a lot cooler than I would have been.

The other rider had pulled some very hard and possibly dirty moves on him , including running him off the track earlier in the race, but it doesn't excuse what he did, which he now knows. Albeit too late.
