Title: House nearly complete.
Post by: 2boxerdogs on 27 November 2018, 17:42:39
Been in just over 3 months in our new abode, had new windows doors & fascias, two new garage doors & driveway all renewed + two new garden sheds just accepted the quote for the new bathroom everything done at £4000 under budget so well happy, several neighbours have commented about the house looking loved again, so glad we made the move.

is this the large Victorian house there were pictures of? A cherry picker/MEWP seems to ring a bell  :-\

Glad you're settling in OK.

No mine is a fairly modern (1997) house that belonged to a woman who got divorced 12 years ago and as our removal man said " looks like she fell out of love with the house as well"  a similar house 4 doors away  has just sold for £66,000 more than what we paid for our one ! We will have spent £22,000 on it once the bathroom is finished, so may well get it valued in the new year however getting SWMBO to up sticks again would prove impossible me thinks ! This is our tenth property in 44 years (5 buy to lets now all sold) but I get a kick out of  buying & selling them.

.

My son in law has his own building company , so we know exactly who to use & obviously we don't get ripped off doubt if the bathroom will be done before Xmas, as the chap has a lot on probably early January but he is the best in our area, so worth the wait should be very impressive if all goes to plan, over double what we intended on spending but still within the overall budget.

I think I saw yours parked in Abington Park .. assuming you're also driving a foreign plated car and like to sit outside on a camping chair watching the children in the playground.. ;D ;D Or that might just be the pikeys back again.

You boys and your cars. I haven't even washed mine for a month. In fact, there's so much muck on it, the mpg has dropped with the extra weight.  ;D

Either a million or million and a half Romanians left  for a better life. More than one in twenty for a population of circa 20 million.
