Is there an online uk resource for roadworks and speed restrictions?
I am doing a lot of driving around andsatnav is great forroute planning and telling you on the move what problems there are around.
Just trying to avoid using a road that is already limited to 50.

Ahaha. Ahahahahaha. Ahahahahahahahahaha.
Oh, you were serious?
Best avoid the motorways then.
And most A roads.
Definitely towns.
Basically, anywhere in England.
Seriously, though, https://roadworks.org/ maybe?

That is great.
Just about to set off Leicester for Scarborough. That shows just one issue - 50 mph m1 jct 21 to 22
Thanks :y
Ps popped over to Hockley in Birmingham to stock up on Gold before Brexit day. Journey therewas hideous on M6 due to 50 mph smartening works. On way back 17 miles showed as 55 mins on overhead gantry. No problem just nip up the M42 and down the A5. Took longer than going. A5 to M69 lights wereletting only three carsthrough for straight on. Just heavy traffic levels andone broken down car.
Pps wasnt a problem as our armoured truck can only do 50. ;D

Hmm it didnt show the section of the M1 near Sheffield with 50 mph testing something or other.
What a cost to the motorists.

Use Google maps, with traffic.. :y

Probably won't avoid the 50 limit motorways though .. they're still usually the fastest way to drive long distance.
In fact, the 50 limit roadworks on the M1 now tends to travel at 50, rather than the 0-40-0-80-0-40 it did before; ditto the M3 when they had the 50 limit roadworks a few years back..

Mmm
I am used to the ipen uncluttered roads inSpain 120 kmh or in France 130. 70 is about 110. Huge difference between 80 kmh and 120

Yes, but you're in a civilised country now, not lawless Spain :P

Yes, we had a great trip breezing through central Spain in the old MX-5 at 120 when we came to visit you. Certainly beats going anywhere in the midlands these days.
Oh, wait, 120 kmh? :-[

See. Lawless I tell you! ;D

It calculates the route including the changed limits in the road works, and there's an option for alternative route, I use a TomTom live too, and that shows delays, and roadworks, put the route in see time to destination, then decide if you wish to go another way,.

I usually have Google maps running even if I know where I'm going, as it will re-route and divert you around a problem ahead. :y

That's exactly the reason I tend to set the satnav on longer journeys, irrespective of whether or not I know the way.
