Title: Wierd Home Alarm Problem
Post by: Auto Addict on 01 March 2019, 08:09:57
Texecom Premier 24 started beeping 3 days ago with 'Battery Fault'

The battery was about 6 years old, replaced it with a new battery which has cleared the fault.

Interesting that the old battery was showing over 13v.

3 days later standing it's still showing over 13v.

If it's 6 years old it's done its time.

Could be that the panel checks internal resistance or capacity of the battery and determines when it's no longer serviceable. The battery will be on float charge in the panel, so the voltage will always hold up.
