Just watched Who Do You Think You Are?
Very interesting series, and you won't believe who his x8 great gand father was!

You only have to look at him, know his mannerisms and listen to his style of speech to somehow know he is a distant relative of King George II!! :D :D ;)

Yet to watch that one -- got it on my sky box waiting. Am cr*p at history -- Lizzie will no doubt know ...... was George 1 Hanovarian ? Therefore not really "British Royalty". He was, however, a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire .... therefore I bow before him !

Yes indeed HC, George I was a German House of Hanover import in 1714 who could not speak English. Sir Robert Walpole became our first Prime Minister in 1721 to stabilise what had become a very difficult political situation with George losing interest in his Government due mainly to his lack of English speaking ability and the country never looked back. ;)

Just a thought ---- the Hanovarian connection would go a long way to explaining Boris's eccentricities ( verging on insanity) ::)
