Title: HBV part number
Post by: Olympia5776 on 27 March 2019, 16:41:11
Flew through it's annual test today and then this aftrnoon I find a pool of coolant under it.  >:(
It's leaking from a little manufactured hole in the heater bypass valve . I've tried to get the part number from

https://opel.7zap.com/en/car/v94/
but have not found it yet .
Are they all the same across the model range  and has anyone the part number ?
Thanks

2.2 Dti ones are the only ones different to the rest.

Select on line and purchase. Genuine are cheap enough, but they are available from around £8... Treat it as a service item and fit the one you like the look/price/delivery time of :y

95517483 (GM Kat Nr; 18-20-001) is the current part that you need which supersedes 90566947 (GM Kat 18-20-014) which is likely the part number fitted now.

Be careful fitting the new HBV. It's easy to snap off the spigot for the vacuum pipe when refitting the wiper arm mechanism. Your car seems to have the older black rubber elbow connector on the vacuum pipe. If the new HBV has a shroud (cylindrical curtain) surrounding and protecting the vacuum spigot then change the black connector for the newer green rubber which is slightly less thick and fits better. The HBV that's used on a Vectra has the shroud.
