He was one of the original members. He did a piece years ago for a magazine  .... I have a copy of it somewhere.

I loved my LPG Senator 3.0  24V with a Will Reeve chip done 260,000 miles but it rotted  away☹️😞

-
Ian still owns the said LC
Still in ABS but has not been active for a long time due to work and his Retro Rides involvment

I know someone who had a "spare" LC engine until a few short years ago, and he sold it stupidly cheap to get it out of the way :(.  I think he still has a brand new crankshaft for one.

That's strange.  Do not know in my ignorance if it has got anything to do with a LC engine, but:

In the latest Autobahnstormers mag there is an advert for a LS2, 6 litre V8 engine.  Came out of a Monero shortly after being fitted in it, that was then written off!

 Price,£5,000 O.V.N. :o :o :o

For anyone interested there are contact numbers. ;)

LC engine is 3.6 strait 6 Lizzie  ;)
 LS2 is a V8

I should have known that as I had a Senny, and thinking about I do not think you could fit a V8 in that?? :D ;)

you can fit a V8 in carltons and sennys ,people have many times  :)
and as Omega is a similar size and layout, you can fit a V8 in an omega too
there was one at the Brackley meet with an LS1 in  8)

But how could you ever work on the engine after doing that? :o :o :o

It is bad enough with a V6!

 I have a photo of a prototype Omega V8 that they almost introduced, but what a squeeze!! :o :o :D ;)
-
Not forgetting the one off lotus senator created by one of the Autobahnstormer squad :y That’s the one I’d like and fit a couple of today’s trick turbos to it, blow the V8 into the weeds :y

-

But how could you ever work on the engine after doing that? :o :o :o

Just take at least half the engine out to get at stuff
like you have to to change the plugs on a V6  ;D :D

 Yep, that picture says everything! ;D ;D ;D ;)

There was a hole cut in the bonnet when a supercharger was added, although removing the sound panelling and zone fine tuning might just have done the job* of clearing the throttle body :y

 * The hump and vent fitted to cover the hole actually helps get some of the heat shifted, so all good 8)

IIRC the seats needed cleaning, though. Well, they did after he let Gixer drive. ;D

I miss your "little chats" as well, they used to amuse me no end😊  and I would tune in most nights to see what was being.......discussed ;D

TBE is about 20mins to change the plugs, and that needs the bloody LPG injectors moved as well.

I'd be surprised if it takes Rob significantly longer to change all 8  ;D

Suspect not, as most of the time on TBE is with moving the LPG, and the physical amount of time to unscrew, unbox new, screw in new, torque new...
-
No coil packs to unbolt either ;)

That's unusual, most of your jobs which "only" take *.* minutes, involve a stop for tea as well. ::) ::) ::)
