Are these the correct springs for my omega.

Just got another years ticket on mine with zero advisories :y
After a couple of ball joints that is ;D
Front springs have 160K plus on them so now the work has dropped off and i've got time to friggin breath, I can get on with sorting a few things out :y

Unless you are fluent with German, I'd check the spec a little more carefully. The listing states suitable for a 2.2 through to a 3.2. You can guarantee Vauxhall didn't fit the same springs across the whole range, as for example, I'm sure a V6 engine isn't the same weight as a 2.2. Likewise, depending the rear suspension - does it have self levelling? Vauxhall list LJ, LK, LR, LQ and LX rear springs for the estate, depending on the model and suspension. My 3.2 Elite estate with SL suspension has it's original LK GM springs.
My experience of non VX springs, especially where 'one spring fits all', the vehicles ride height will be way out. How many saloons do you see jacked up the rear - they have aftermarket springs fitted.
I've been there - believe me, check out the springs and try and source the exact spring for your model as you may regret getting ones that jack your car up like a dragster at the rear, or give the incorrect ride height at the front.
I've even tried ones for mine that were listed for SL suspension (rears) but they were too firm and jacked the car up at the rear.
Only my six penn'th, but my advice would be to tread carefully when buying off vague descriptions.

A couple of points to counter that doom and gloom...
These Eibach springs are 30mm lowering ones and ARE the correct ones for the estate and will give a 15mm drop over the original MV6 ones ;)
ALL Omegas have the same rear spring weights for a given body... ie all saloons and all estates regardless of engine/trim.
ALL petrol four pots have the same front spring weights of around 970kgs iirc (certainly sub 1,000kgs).
ALL other Omegas regardless of body/trim/engine have the same front spring rate as these springs... 1,080kgs without looking.

Firstly I appreciate ALL members opinions on here and pretty much always ask more questions then others when I need something sorting on my omega.
Its never been a case of picking sides (and one thing you will never see from me is virtual arse kissing of OOFers ) ;D Its more a case of getting things straight in my own head so I can make my own decision so please feel free to chip in on any of my posts anytime :) :y :y
In this case, I agree with Al on this.
I don't know the difference in weight between a 2.2 (4 pot) and a 3.2 (V6) but knowing the TUV test i'd have thought it was pretty well researched so I would say its not going to be a problem.
At the moment, my car has 160K plus front springs and since it never had self levelling, and with the need to compensate for the LPG tank which is behind the rear axel, heavy tools and occasionally a pikey wagon, a pair of normal height / reinforced springs.
TBH, for 80% of the time, it sits level and its been pretty good unless you really throw it into a corner were the back end has too travel, twists due to the long travel of the springs and the car can snap into oversteer which is fun when playing but when I have my big sheppard in the back I can doo without it :y
Also with the front springs totally knackard, even I will probably find the car will sit just as square and a little higher off the ground :y
I'll get the MOT sorted and give it a go with those springs in the link and let you all know how it works out :)

To put the debate to bed, above picture is from the Irmscher Omega B brochure...
1) applies to four pot saloons. 2)applies to four pot estates.
3) applies to six pot and diesel saloons. 4) applies to six pot and diesel estates.
5) applies to self levelling.
In summary, your MV6 estate has the following spring rates:
Front 1,080 kgs.
Rear 1,290 kgs.
Ergo, the springs in your link are the correct ones for your car :y
Incidentally, 6) applied to exhausts and rear skirts...

I appreciate the comments and thoughts.
However, Vauxhall / Opel / GM design engineers back in the day of the Omega had the relevant and specific information about the specifications of the various models being designed, and felt the need to equip these models with different springs relative to their spec. Now if aftermarket engineers for Eibach know more about spring design than Vauxhall, they could have saved GM a fortune by fitting just one spring to a range of models.
I am not saying Eibach are a poor quality product.
In your first post the question was asked 'Are these the correct springs for my Omega?'
The answer clearly is 'No'.
I'm not saying they won't fit.
What I am saying if you want them 'correct', then they need to be more model specific rather than a 'one spring fits all approach' unless the stance or handling characteristics of your car has no relevance.
Why were so many variants of genuine VX springs available for the Omega models, with springs of different poundage rates, free length variants, and coil wire diameters be fitted to different models by the manufacturers IF it didn't matter in the slightest.
I only speak of my own experiences in my fitting of vehicle springs - not only to Omegas either.
Please post how you get on.

Eibach all round on two of mine and Eibach on the front of the daily. If any one has a set of saloon MV6 LSC rears new unused let me know as mine have done around 160k and need replacing.

Ive removed my mv6 springs few months ago 140k ... fitted brand new eibachs and b4 shocks. Car sits too low for me but its soft also...
Going to get mv6 springs remanufactured .. send mine off as car wasnt low and definetely firmer than the eibachs

Right, finally got time (and a friggin dry day) to replace the front springs :-[
They was that knackered that they literally fell off the strut with hardly no bounce whatsoever ::)
All back together now and it makes a hell of a difference just with the front done :) :y

When I stripped down the front struts, there is 2 cup like washers which sit on the chrome part.
On mine, one side had the cups sat inside each other while the other side had them back to back (opposite) ::)
Which is the correct way to fit these ?
Now I rebuilt the front suspension 3 or 4 years ago so i'm the guilty culprit :-[ but can honestly say it made no difference to driving over the last 20,000 miles :-\

Sorry, my decent low-ish mileage LSC rears were discovered to be cracked at last MoT (well, one was) they must be some of the last LSC springs left, I now have a 'pair' of old soon-to-snap LSC rears, the remains from two snapped pairs. If a set of new old stock ones do ever appear I'd suggest that instead of fitting them, whoever finds them get them to a company that makes springs, who can replicate them and make a limited run?
Oh and Mr Gonads - good to hear your motor's getting some well-earned TLC!
