Hooray!!!
Noticed the broken telephone cable hanging from the pole, was lying only 1ft from the ground.
I had a word with the "little people" at the bottom of the garden, and asked them if they could sprinkle some fairy dust over my cable
So I awoke this morning to find, the cable running across the 10ft grassy track, half buried, yet re-connected.
Had a letter from BT this morning, (the 1st one since this drama began), saying that although they understood how frustrating and inconvenient it was for me, unfortunately, they would still not be able to make a temporary repair, on the grounds of H&S........Had to smile at that one.
So may I take the opportunity to thank the little people who connected my BT wire, without any trouble whatsoever, and without any help from BT whatsoever
And may I suggest to BT in future not to make such a huge drama over re-connection, when it was the easiest thing in the world to do ;D
So it's Dusty kisses all round to all at OOF tonight :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Thanks Debs
It was amazing just how easy it was to do. A 10 minute job. (Not that I saw the little people do it) ;D ;D ;D

Good news Dusty. Being without the phone or internet access can drive you crazy after a while.
Have you spoken to your doctor about these little people....he may be able to help. ;D ;D ;D

I think Dusty's little people are doing fine. No need for a Doctor here...
Well done Dusty and the little people. Hopefully they buried the cable in a nice strong bit of PVC pipe.

Just be aware it is illegal for the little men to tamper with phone lines before the network termination point. The offence is criminal, punishable with custodial sentences.
Though, I doubt in this case, anyone would be that worried, unless the fix put additional faults on the line...

I think the little people are safe from detection.., must be a H&S rule somewhere that stops BT coming out and checking how it got fixed lol.
