Title: Here we go again
Post by: STEMO on 02 November 2019, 18:13:53
Fickin fireworks. The dog is walking around the house shaking and whining, she's been sick twice. Keeps coming to me and pleading with me to make it stop.
No doubt it will be like this for the next four nights.

I can't understand where the knuckle draggers who set them off for a week every year get the money. Fireworks displays are something I think should be allowed, the youngsters shouldn't have to miss out. But the half wits around here just walk about setting them off wherever they feel like.

I've just watched (the high level fireworks of) an organised firework from a nearby cricket club in my back garden. My dog stood at the side of me .... I was out, so she was out .... with her tail wagging. Fire works don't faze her at all.

I've just watched my first Christmas advert (ASDA) of the year and it's only 2nd November!  ::)  :(  We haven't even got past Bonfire Night yet!  >:(

It won't be long and Lord Opti will be welcoming the return of the Christmas smilies!  ;D

If bonfire night goes to plan, there won't anything but news on for a while...

Don't have them over here , they're actually illegal, the reason being that Ireland doesn't consider the discovery of the gun powder plot and subsequent demise of Mr Fawkes a subject worthy of celebration.......

Pretty sure it was still legal to shove a lit banger up a cat's arse when I was a boy. We had to make our own entertainment back then. :)

As for your mutt......it needs to 'man up' and grow a pair.  :) :D

Nothing to do with the fact that they've spent the last few hundred years trying to blow each other up then...  ::)

I think Mercedes are sponsoring ours this weekend.  I guess they can do a decent display now.

When the first fireworks of the night go off-they've been doing it for days-the dogs ears prick up and she looks at the door as she seems to think we've got visitors, when this proves not to be the case she goes back to sleep and ignores them for the rest of the night.Maybe TB should organise a display-I believe he has previous experience of making things go bang ::) ;D

This is the fourth night of the noise and she seems to be setting a bit. I suppose, if it happened every night, she would just get used to it.

Anything upsets our Tibetan terrorist, and she'll throw a quizzical glance. If you're not bothered, then she doesn't.

She snores louder than me, so once she's settled, that's it.  :D
