Title: Brake bleed - ABS
Post by: cwill144 on 11 November 2019, 09:05:55
I have just changed most of the brake pipes on my MV6 3.0L. and now need to bleed the system. when I look in the Manual it list the 3 & 4 Channel ABS bleeding sequence which are different. My car is a 98 which is when they changed, it has TC and has 4 pipes coming out of the Bosch unit but how can I tell if it is a 3 or 4 channel unit? and any tips on bleeding the system?

4 channel.

Start with rear, then front, and clutch if the reservoir was drained.  :y

As mine has 4 pipes, is it the 4 channel unit?

if you have TC, then it's 4 channel  :y

(as opposed to the 3 channel that looks at both rear wheels as one  :))

TC was available on 3 and 4 channel.

If the last LETTER of you VIN is W, its 4 channel, if its V, its 3 channel.
