Although strictly not vauxhall spec I'm sure it'll be fine for the more cost conscious like me.
Works out a fraction over £8 for 5L fully synth with weekend code. :y

You can push the boat out like me and pay equivalent of £9.25 for 5 litres, Genuine Vx at £37 for 20litres. :y
Though that extra £1.25 saved is a bottle of beer from Lidl...hmm.... ;D
-
Is that trade club price?
-
This is more like it, an oil thread and a tyre thread! :y
-
Haha!
Yes it is 'TC' oil/price, but it's on the heebay, has been for months, free shipping comes to your door, don't even have to deal with a spotty erbert at the parts counter who doesn't know what 10w40 is :y
-
I've been buying trade club 10w40 £38 delivered clicky (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20LTR-DRUM-10W40-ENGINE-OIL-new-VAUXHALL-GENUINE-SEMI-SYNTHETIC-PETROL-DIESEL/253266803486) from ebay for a while now :y
tracked, fast delivery. great seller ,never had a problem.
I've got through 5 x 20L tubs in the last 18 months
maybe I need an oil tanker delivery instead ;D
TBB will be along shortly to say it's only 50p at the vauxhall dealer with trade card ;D
but I think TBB is the only person in the UK to know a dealer who accepts trade club
-
No one else will deliver to him... :D

yup :y only had a couple now in last 2-3 years, ebay all the way, just no point in waiting till i gt back up north, to have to haggle down the parts bloke, because the 'normal' guy i deal with isnt in today etc etc.

Don't diss TC. My semi is £24 for 20l delivered, usually same day. None of this dicking around with shitbay etc. Hassle free and cheap. And its good stuff :)

Semi is, yeah. All I ever buy is semi for the Omega and the Zaffy, and whatever the stuff the Jag takes, which is a lot more expensive, but still cheaper than the (incorrect) TripleQX shite that euroshite insist my car takes.

What about those of us with posh vectra, that only use full fat 5w30, also that's all I used in the Mv6. :'(.
Bought some last month for £48.00, for 20L, delivered, haven't opened it yet, also goes in the wife's f++d fiesta.

Yes Mrs VXL's Astra CDTi takes that, so my nice friendly dealer close to where I work (if I ever go in the office) does me a decent price for four but with 2 x 5L 5W30 and 2 x 5L 10W40 when required. If you find a good dealer keep using them :y

TBB - is that £24 + vat, or actual £24? Because that is a belting price (either way, actually)
Just got my mate/miss DBG a 20l drum of Vx 5w30 for I think £48, which we'll split whoever wants what quantity. Same seller I get my oil from. Sister's Corsa runs 10w40, father's Insignificant runs 5w30, so result.
and yes, it took some digging to figure out what oil my mate's car takes, thanks to eurocrapparts who suggest about three different options ::)
-
Don`t recommend Petronas Syntium 800EU semi 10/ 40
lots of mayo in the breather now :P

They recommend all types for my 2.2 ::) so it`s back to Gm 10-40 semi for me

Haven't looked at the brand of oil for years. Buy it when I need it along with the other parts, as I don't want the rest getting in the way over the next three years. That's worth more to me than a possible few pence a litre saving.

Good point, I'd have to check an invoice, but I'd assume Ex.

Yes, I agree its annoying having to by 20l drums. But its half the cost, and I kept 3 of the 5l containers, so the 20l gets opened for the first oil change, then the rest is decanted into the empty 5l cans. Now had I been clever enough to keep 4 5l cans, I could decant straight away.
20l of semi lasts us 6-12 months, depending on her mileage (which varies dramatically). Typically the Zafira gets an annual change, as it covers hardly any miles, and the Omega gets oil every 5-7k, depending on the weather outside, and how much petrol running she has been doing.
-
If you buy it during the 4 for 3 offers, you get 4 5litre cans in a box... ;)

They haven't done that on semi for quite a while, sadly.
