I have a leaking coolant hose on my Omega 2.5V6 (1995). It is the heater supply hose that runs from the rear of the engine to the interior bulkhead. I have identified it as GM part number 9129564 but have been unable to find anywhere to source one from despite intense internet searches. Ideally I would like a new one but would settle for a sound used one. Can anyone offer any advice as to how I might get one?

hoses pic with part numbers clicky (https://vauxhall.7zap.com/en/car/v94/f/0/13-1/#5)
so cross reference part numbers
is it this one clicky (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Opel-Omega-Matrix-Coolant-Water-Hose-GM-9129570/312842920860?hash=item48d6e4239c:g:CCkAAOSwWk1dytbe) you want ?

Have a rummage on ebay.com... ;)

Yes, I have identified the part. It is hose number 3 on the diagram that davethebuilder posted. This equates to GM part number 9129564. Unfortunately no one seems to actually have it for sale. I have tried ebay, amazon and multiple searches on google. There is some obscure site in Russia that appears to be selling it but I can't understand a word of Russian and there is no English version. I just wondered if anyone knew another source of such parts that may not be obvious. Does anyone know of anyone breaking down an old Omega 2.5 V6 with such parts for sale?

Is it leaking along the pipe length or from the heater bulk head speed fit union ?
Reason I ask is I know the actual pipe has an internal diameter of 15mm.(..long story but a piece of copper pipe and 2 jubilee clips says it all..) so if its just the pipe you could cut and join it...just a thought ...failing that Im sure somebody will be breaking 1 if you ask admin to put up a "Wanted"

Have you tried a Vauxhall dealer ?

Try ...Omega52 ...off ebay or maybe our own..Serek...sure either would be able to help you

Those pipes are /have become difficult to find, I haven't got any, and I'm sure serek hasn't got any either. :(

Yes, this is a good idea. I will do this if no success sourcing a new part. The leak is near the end without the connector so it should be possible so long as the old connector still functions without leaking after being removed and re-fitted.

If the leak is in the pipe at the opposite end to the speed fit I would be inclined to cut out the damaged/leaking section square.then cut whats left in the middle and do as I did and add a short section of 15mm pipe...aluminium would be better as Im not sure if coolant has any effect on copper but it got me out of a problem until I could find a new hose.

You can, if all else fails....try the silicone route, many companies like Demon Tweaks may well have what you need :-\ :y

Thank you all. I think I will probably go with Amba's suggestion if I don't find one in the next few days. It will at least allow me to fix it until one pops up on Ebay one day.

It worked for me 1 December when it let go...stayed like that until June I think with no ill effects

Have you tried Google Translate to decode that Russian advert?

Are you sure you have identified the correct part number? Have a look at the drawing here (https://vauxhall.7zap.com/en/car/v94/c/7/19-1/).
Might the problem hose be #10 9129576?
When I experienced a similar issue to you it was #2 on the drawing. This is the inlet pipe for the HBV that connects to a spigot at the rear of the engine in the well of the 'V'. It was split under the hose clip. That hose is 90466222 and Autovaux got it for me for £7.60+vat + delivery about 30 months ago.
Incidentally the leaking coolant nicely doused the coil pack, which gave up the ghost shortly after.

No, unfortunately not. My car does not have a HBV but instead the pipe goes directly from the spigot at the rear of the engine to the bulkhead connector using the hose I identified in the earlier diagram. It has failed at almost the same spot as yours though with a small hole in the pipe just back from the connection to the spigot. I have managed to remove the pipe with difficulty and it just seems a shame to spend considerably more effort replacing it with a repaired hose rather than a new one.
