Been using the Range Rover a lot over the past few days since getting it back from the indie that was recommended to me, I asked him to put right everything that in his opinion needed doing he said " If it starts getting over the £2000 mark I will give you a call" anyway all done for £985 + VAT, lt is like driving a new vehicle now absolutely superb job done.😎

That's a great result! 8) 8) :y :y
Doesn't it feel so good to have a 'sound' car that you love after even spending a bit of cash :D :)

You're so right Lizzie , thought I'd give it three months to make sure I actually liked the RR but now it feels more like "my car" the main thing being a pair of new front suspension arms so positive & smooth now , I can see how people get addicted to these.

£1100 is pretty nearly as much as I've ever spent on buying a car :D

Big car, big bills! ;)

Compared to some I've got away very lightly for the amount of work carried out, the RRS forum has some horrific prices for maintenance + some stories of work done that is not up to scratch.

As I said elsewhere, tis a damn good price for the work. I, too, am starting to feel "comfy" in mine and enjoying driving it now a few niggles have been sorted - and suspension arms along with anti-roll bar bushes (both a common failure point - your roll bar bushes will go eventually, promise :P) would make it a really lovely drive.
.. which just makes me really want to replace it with a 5.0 Supercharged model ;D ;D

Yes the 5.0 is very nice to drive but the MPG is just not good enough, probably be in single figures when towing the "tin tent."
In all honesty the TDV8 is absolutely spot on for me don't need anymore power, and is now driving superbly.
-
A lot of folks consider the TDV8 the "best" engine available.. but it doesn't sound like the best, nor is it the quickest ;)

There also seems to be a lot of owners who "tinker" with them themselves causing a lot of unnecessary problems.
The place I took mine came very highly recommended ,there was a 2019 Range Rover Sport being serviced there because even though the owner was extremely wealthy he was not prepared to pay £115 per hour at the main dealership for shoddy work.

Yes, please let us know who your Indy RR wizard is, they deserve a plug. I hope one day to buy one, and finding good support at a reasonable price is probably key.

You won't be disappointed with an RR it is without doubt the most comfortable vehicle I've ever driven & yes find a good independent to maintain it I've been very fortunate indeed.
