So as some of you know I'm bringing a x30xe back to life, and one of the first things I did was blank off the EGR system.
I decided to have fun with it, and had some templates lasercut to my custom design.. a nice and thick aluminum blankoff plate, with a stainless faceplate showing off some custom emblem, obviously sealed off at the intake with a flexoid gasket. Exhaust side just a blankoff bolt with copper washer.
Here's how it came out:

so 2 questions:
1. If I were to offer this as a complete kit, which includes:
- stainless faceplate
- ally blankoff plate
- Flexoid gasket
- Blankoff bolt
- copper washer
.. what would be a reasonable price for such a kit?
2. What emblem would be most popular with potential buyers, not limited to what I've already done (can draw up any design)
I look forward to the response.

In the UK Vauxhall or V6 would be the emblem of choice. Problem is, there aren't that many 2.5 or 3.0 cars around any more. Not that many Omegas around at all actually, but most of the V6 versions still on the roads will be 2.6 or 3.2 and they don't have an EGR valve.
It looks a nice detail though, so you may sell a few, but your not going to make your fortune out of it.

thanks for the response..
I suppose everyone who blanks off their EGR's just fabricate their own blankoff plates

That must be like cannibalism .. the beanz tin was probably made out of crushed rusty Omegas, after all ;D

There's always the worry that MOT rules may change and make the blanking off illegal.
