just wondering whether there is a big difference in these phones??currently i have got a n95 (silver one)which i think is a fantastic phone can't fault it at all but today vodafone phoned me and said that they are sending me a free upgrade n95 8gb (black one) tommorow for nothing so i don't know what to do :-/keep my original one that is basically brand new and unopen the new one and flog it as the 8gb phone seems to be selling for around £250 on flea-bay and to me losing £250 just to change the colour of my phone is stupid!!
what would you do??? is there £250 worth of difference between these phones?? :-/:y :y

8gb has the 8gb on board storage but you cant upgrade that or use a card reader, has to be used via the nokia suit
-
how much do the silver ones go for? is your silver one in nice condition?
function wise they're really not much different apart from the onboard memory as said, i prefer the look of the black one
-
I have an 8GB one. Although they have a slightly bigger screen and a little more RAM (making it faster), I would stick with the normal one. A 16GB memory card is due to be released soon. You can't add more memory to the 8GB one.

memory capacity is main thing as said. Also slightly bigger and flush fitting screen and no closing shutter allowing it to sit flat on a desc making it more stable and thinner and it now cant stick. Not sure if they improved the chip set for the sat nav or if this has been done via firmware.

The standard N95 goes for £150 ish....bought one very recently used it and sold it 2 days later for small profit.
Must say the built in satnav was fantastic...just the basic Nokia maps (told tom tom is better) and couldnt fault it.
Will get another once the prices drop. :)

;D And i was going to give it you for free ;D ::) :-X

ive got the n95 silver, mrs ilovemyelite has the black 8gb one. the screen is bigger on the black one, but its the same resolution, so its stretched. the screen sits flush though whereas the silver one the screen sits 'in' the lid.
i'm with three who sent me an 8gb memory card for my silver one anyway. you cant remove or change the memory on a black one. the black one looks nice but i'd go with the silver one tbh and get a memory card for it.

I've got a 4gb memory card in the silver one and that is more than enough for me :y :y

well if that ever happens, give it to me :D
not fussed at all about not being able to remove/add memory to the 8gb one, it's got everything i need and plenty room for more!

What is that flash gordan thing of yours anyway J? ;)

Well the majority - vast majority - that we sell are 8GB.
Customers seem to demand them ::)
However i guess it comes down to personal usage ( do you need 8GB?) against Value/ cost.
The offer from your network wont be as rich with a 8GB as it would be for a N95, or their will be a cost ( higher cost?) attached to the 8gb handset..
